Book Of Remembrance

The Book of Remembrance is a memorial book that contains names of 338 young men from Bermondsey parish who were killed in the Great War. The book is kept in St Mary Magdalen Church together with a plaque in a memory to the local men who sacrificed their lives during war and two banners commemorating different battles in the World War I.

St Mary Magdalen is a parish church with strong links with local primary and secondary schools and other organisations such as Bermondsey Street Residents Association, Bermondsey Street Area Partnership, Boutcher CoE Primary School, London City Mission.
